Ok, ok, it's just a video of me walking my dog.

The last time I talked about him around a month ago, we were about to start working on directional controls. If you turn the audio on, you can hear me constantly giving him verbal commands.

The first part of the video shows him on a long leash (and with two of our cats), the second part he's free.

The motion commands start with the dog walking in a heeled position, and the handler saying "turn left", "turn right", etc. When the dog begins to turn at the command, they are allowed to walk out of the heeled position and directed when approaching an intersection.

Commands are built from simple to complex. They start out with 'left', 'right', and 'cross' and then work up to commands like 'cross this road and then turn left'.

Place names (ie 'creek', 'mailbox', 'atm') are established by saying where we are going, and then stating the location multiple times while we are there.

'Up', 'Down', 'Over', etc are established as needed, by first giving the command while physically directing the dog.

He has a set of commands that dictate how far he is allowed to go from me. The 'Stay with me' and 'help me' command isn't really used in this video, that's his 'heel' command and puts him in his service dog position walking and brings him to me if I'm sitting down or need him to lean on for something and we're not out walking.

Most of the ones that are used in here are some variation of 'come'- 'come back/this way' is probably the most common one you'll hear. That isn't actually a command to return right to me, just to bring him closer. How much closer is rather ambiguous, the command usually brings him to around 5-10 feet away.

You also hear me clicking at him, sometimes to get his attention and sometimes as a 'move on' command.

My favorite parts were the cats especially the one who followed the dog. Silentkitty
